The broad scope of Baruch’s creative imagination led him to create small decorative items and toys. Folk toys and motifs were a key inspiration. Combining these the geometric ornamental woodcarving or clear polychrome with detailed ornament in the 1920s was the Czechoslovak reaction to international Art Deco’s penchant for colourful rustic artefacts.
