The expressive forms of Janák’s gorgeous chairs prompted us to start producing a suitable stylish dining room table. We had relatively little information on how to proceed. The resulting appearance drew on a black-and-white period photograph where just barely a third of the table can be seen. In the end we managed to produce a table that is clearly suited to the chairs. Like the Janák chairs, it is made of a combination of walnut and beech wood. The standard table top is walnut finished with a high-gloss PU varnish. The base is made of beech, finished with a semi-matte varnish.
