During 1931, Jindřich Halabala designed a number of tubular steel chairs and armchairs for UP Furniture Company – all with innovative frame styles. This chair, with seat and back made of woven rattan, is based on the principle of a dual cantilever, thanks to which it can lean both forward and backward, providing its user with a comfortable sitting experience. An alternative to the double rattan weave is a saddlery leather.
