A bookcase designed by Pavel Janák in 1912–1913. This iconic piece of furniture is made of light ash veneer and the interior is stained in a contrasting black. The undulating walls and warped baroque silhouette are deformed by conspicuously sharp angles. Janák shapes the bookshelf both in space and in its footprint, but also works against the principles of woodworking.
