More than ten years ago we managed to buy up a few original tube armchairs labelled K106 that we had never encountered before. To date we have unfortunately been unable to identify the manufacturer or author of this piece. The armchairs were upholstered like car seats in the 1930s in a series of rollers that lend the chair the proper elegance. This type of upholstering is also often used in small airplanes.
It was clear to us that this piece would not be readily available and so we decided to produce a small batch of replicas. The armchair has a classic unbound spring seat and back and we offer it in a wide variety of upholstery materials. For an extra charge the insides of the seat and the backrest are made using traditional method, i.e. hand-tied compression springs and jute straps. The most common ones it comes in are a light tobacco or dark red leather from the British company Yarwood Leather. A tubular footrest can also be ordered with the chair.
